Town Hall

Since early 2021, Lin has been working on the restoration of the stained glass windows in Manchester Town Hall. The windows were in varying states of disrepair, with many needing to be completely dismantled, pieces replaced and put back together. A lot of time, energy and passion has gone into this project to ensure that the craftsmanship of the original windows was replicated so that they may survive another 150 years if not longer.

This beautiful window needed completely re-leading, re-configuring

and resizing to fit its new home.

This beautiful window had seen better days! It was in need of a complete relead and some of the panes were damaged or broken.

Painted flower centrepiece

The delicate and fragile painted centre panel needed removing and turning 90 degrees to change the orientaion of the window from landscape to portrait.
